TECHNIQUE WORKSHOPS

KDC’s unique dance vocabulary is rooted in Indian dance and martial art forms and their relationship to western movement forms. Workshops in company technique can therefore include introductions to Bharata Natyam, Kalaripayattu, contemporary dance and partnered acrobatic movement skills. These techniques are often introduced inside our Creative/Choreography Workshops and Repertory Workshops, but can be designed to stand on their own in introductory sessions to a broad range of movement styles and traditions.
