CENTRICA (NEW WORKS-IN PROGRESS) 2020

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold. – W.B. Yeats

Centrica is an exhilarating new ensemble dance piece combining Bharatanatyam, acrobatics and contemporary dance with the Indian martial art kalaripayattu to explore the impact of centricity on our lives and ask, how do centric perspectives prevent us from connecting?

Four fiercely talented dancers come together to create KDC’s first contemporary ensemble work since 2016’s critically-acclaimed AnkushaMusic and movement for the piece will be inspired by the Fibonacci Sequence, which recurs mathematically throughout nature to unite much of both life and art.

Please see our News page for information about our Arts Council England-funded Research and Development held in January 2020 and our plans for 2021.
