KDC receives funding from Arts Council England May 2016
May 17, 2016Kamala Devam Company has been awarded its first Grants for the Arts funding from Arts Council England for its work this year. The application was supported by Navadisha 2016, Akademi South Asian Dance UK, South East Dance and Rich Mix and will award funds to present KDC’s first evening of work, Ankusha and Other Mysteries, at Rich Mix on Sept 3rd. The award will also facilitate Kamala Devam Company performing at the upcoming Navadisha Conference, allow Devam to continue working with invaluable producer Lise Smith and support KDC’s education work at the University of East London this Autumn. Devam is grateful to all the partner organisations involved in making this application a successful one and to Jan de Schynkel, Relationship Officer for Dance at Arts Council England, for his guidance.
