Covid Creativity: KDC’s animation project 2020
December 21, 2020KDC received funding from Surf the Wave’s Response Pot to create an animation with celebrated North London animator Sandra Clua (aka La Ginjol). The collaboration used footage from the company’s research period in January on new dance piece Centrica. Sandra’s overlaid graphics on top of the dancing and at points, replaced dancing bodies, to show the influence of the Golden Spiral’s universal code of growth on the choreography. This animation was director Devam’s response to the pandemic crisis and its cause being humanity’s alienation to the natural world around us.
